I have been doing a lot of reading about Enterprise Service Busses and how to integrate a service-based system across an enterprise. I found one site that looks pretty good called the E-Framework.

These guys are putting together a catalog of service definitions that could be used together to create a larger system. I noticed that some of the services are familiar to me but some are not. The idea is to create a description of each service called a Service Expression then group the expressions into Service Genres . Each expression will follow a particulare standard and could be implemented on any web service platform.
